The Hebrew Messiah Yahshua , was a Nazarite Priest.

The vow of the Nazarite

The creed of the Nazarite began with a vow taken by the individual, or by the parents before the birth of a child. Both Samson (Judg. 13:5) and Samuel (1 Sam. 1:27 ,28) and Yohn the Baptist (Luke 1:15 )were Nazarites . Yames, the brother of ,The Hebrew Messiah Yahshua , was a Nazarite .

Lamentations 4
Her NAZARITES (Strong's #5139 NAZIYR, meaning "CONSECRATED TO YAHWEH") were purer than snow (Spiritually), they were whiter than milk (Spiritually)Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: Their skin cleaves to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick (a living self-sacrifice)

Nazarites, in the Old Testament, Hebrew Israelites who were especially dedicated to the service of Yahweh. The vow they took was pre-Mosaic in origin, but its stipulations are found in Numbers 6:1-21. The principal obligations were abstinence from intoxicants, and from cutting of the hair or shaving.

Numbers 6:1-6 (The elements of the Nazarite vow)
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When either man or woman shall make a special vow, the vow of a Nazarite, to separate himself (or herself) to Yahweh,
3 (The Main Element of the vow) he (or she) shall separate himself (or herself) from wine and strong drink; he (or she) shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any juice of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes or dried (all symbolic of the Spiritual fruit of the vine).
4 All the days of his (or her) separation shall he (or she) eat nothing that is made of the grape-vine, from the kernels even to the husk.
5 All the days of his (or her) vow of separation there shall no razor come on his (or her) head: until the days be fulfilled, in which he (or she) separates himself (or herself) to Yahweh, he (or she) shall be Holy; he (or she) shall let the locks of the hair of his (or her) head grow long.
6 All the days that he (or she) separates himself (or herself) to Yahweh he (or she) shall not come near to a dead body (while the Nazarite priest is living).

Isaiah 11:1
"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Yesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots." The stem here
(the only place the English word occurs in the biblical scripture) is the cut off stump of a tree or a stub. The rod growing from the stem is parallel to the Branch growing out of the roots. The rod and the Branch are a prophecy referring to The Hebrew Messiah Yahshua

In (Isaiah 4:2; 11:1, Yeremiah 23:5; 33:15, and Zechariah 3:8; 6:12.) prophets used , the picture of The Annotated as the Branch.

" NAZIYR " The Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon
1. to dedicate, consecrate, separate
1. (Niphal) to dedicate oneself, devote oneself
2. (Hiphil) to keep sacredly separate
2. (Hiphil) to be a Nazarite, live as a Nazarite

Matthew 2:23
And he went and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, ‘He shall be called a Nazarene."

During the period of second temple Nazarites traditionally came to Bethsaida on the Sea of Galilee . The "City of Nazareth" appears from historical records to have gotten its name from the fact that many Nazarites priests resided in that area.

The city of Nazareth is not once mentioned by name in the Old Testament. By inventing a town named "Nazareth" was an attempt to hid the sense of the word " NAZIYR " by the Kenites Jewish Scribes, by , planting a seed of error.

By trying to make sense of the Definition and explaining the word " NAZIYR " by non Hebrew ,Westernized Greco-Roman translators / writers , get the word " NAZIYR " and meaning all wrong .

The definition of a priest is anyone who performs a service to and for Father Yahweh such as a (symbolic) Baptism, teaching the Gospel, healing the sick without surgery or medicine, casting out demons (unrighteous thoughts), perform (symbolic) sacraments and who have consecrated themselves to Father Yahweh .

Matthew 8:14-17 King James Version (KJV)
14And when Yahshua was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

In Psalms 2 and 20 songs, show an idealized king, a 'son of Yahweh', which is presented, and who will defend truth, humility and righteousness by defeating the enemies of Yudah. In Psalm 110 it also shows this anointed one will be 'a priest for ever' and will judge the nations. The priestly Messiah will restore the true teaching of Father Yahweh Law statues and judgments . Also in this psalm 110, Yahweh addresses The Anointed One with the words: "Sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your footstool.' The one whom Yahweh addresses by inviting him to sit "at his right hand," will be both simultaneously king and priest ,according to the order of Melchizedek.

Genesis 14:18
“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high Yahweh . According to Psalm 2:6,7, Yahshua The Hebrew Messiah is going to sit on the throne in the magnificent temple as the Son of Yahweh. He can enter into the holy place in the temple and sit on the throne because He is Yahweh Eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.

Now,nowhere in the Biblical Scripture does it say The Hebrew Messiah Yahshua drank any wine, on the day , he was murder.

KJV Mark 15:23
And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

KJV Luke 22:17-18
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of Father Yahweh shall come.

The Hebrew Messiah Yahshua is a Nazarite Priest, "Set Apart," "pure," and "Holy" unto Yahweh ,because he most assuredly kept the rest of the Nazarite vow . He made this vow approximately 24 hours prior to his death on the cross , he never ate anything unclean, swallowed wine or vinegar, and since he died prior to the other two thieves next to him, he did not violate the being near any dead thing requirement.

In Leviticus 16, On the Day of Atonement, the high priest went into the very presence of Yahweh in the temple. He went in with the blood of a sacrificed animal that died and atoned for the sins of Ysrayl. So, likewise, The Messiah will be a Priest before Yahweh would only go once into the holy place in heaven to make the final atonement for sin. He would go into the most holy place in heaven with His own blood for the final redemption for sin .

The Hebrew Messiah was made a High Priest after "The Order of Melchizedek." Melchizedek is not so much a name, as it is a title "Designation of Honor". It is a position or office that has to be filled by a worthy candidate. The term is a transliteration of two Hebrew words, melek and tsedeq . The Hebrew melek means king and tsedeq means righteousness. Therefore, the term "melchizedek" means literally, he "King of Righteousness."

I agree that Messiah was making the Nazarite Vow in Luke 22. This was probably not the first time he made the vow. But what we see in Luke 7:33-34 makes me think he was not a Nazarite from birth. I also believe that Saul is seen taking the Vow in Acts 18 and 21.

Luke 7:33-34 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

Do you think we can make the Nazarite Vow today without a Temple. If so under what circumstances can we end it.

Shalom,
Wayne
